Record yourself doing the work once. Your agent picks it up and writes the documentation directly in your database.
Go through the process on camera and talk through each step as you go.
Give it the supercut link and say where the doc should live.
Numbered steps, a frame each, and searchable in your SOP database.
Record your process once on camera with Supercut and let your agent write the SOP. It pulls the recording's transcript and a frame for each step, so the documentation arrives with the screenshots already in it.
Connected to your agent.
Notion, connected to your agent.
Claude, Cursor, or similar.
Whenever you next run the process, open Supercut and record as you go. No rehearsal, no script. Supercut transcribes your narration, so every step you say out loud becomes a step in the doc. You can blur anything sensitive, so confidential details are not revealed. Cover the five things a reader will otherwise get stuck on:
The screen, and what the reader needs open before step one.
Say what you are clicking and why, not just that you are clicking.
Show the result after each step so the reader can check themselves.
The step everyone misses, and what happens when they do.
What done looks like, and what to do next.
Give the supercut link to your agent, prompt it to create an SOP and tell it where the doc should live. It will pull everything it needs from the recording: the transcript and the frames from every step.
Your agent turns the recording into numbered steps and writes them into your SOP database. For each step it writes what to do, adds a frame from the moment you did it, and links the supercut for reference. You do the work once. The doc is a side effect.
Do not stop at the doc. Point your agent at the same recording and have it write a skill, then hand that to the team. Now nobody has to read the SOP. They just run it.
Record the process, then paste this to your agent. Swap [SUPERCUT LINK] for your recording.
Here is a supercut of a process I just ran through: [SUPERCUT LINK]
Read it and write a detailed SOP into Notion.
1. Fetch the transcript for that recording.
2. Break the process into numbered steps, in the order I did them. One step per action, not one step per sentence.
3. For each step, pull a frame from the second where I am doing that action. Use the transcript timestamps to pick the moment.
4. Write the doc with these sections:
- Title: the process, named the way I named it
- Before you start: what the reader needs open or ready
- Numbered steps: what to do, and what the result should look like
- Common mistakes: anything I flagged as easy to get wrong
- Done: what finished looks like, and what comes next
Rules:
- Use my words for screens, buttons and settings. Do not rename them.
- If I did not explain a step, write "not covered in the recording" rather than guessing.
- The frames are stills, not video. Do not describe animation or hover states unless I said them out loud.
- Keep it to what I actually did. Do not add best practice I did not mention.
- When you are done, list the steps you wrote and anything in the recording you could not turn into one.The agent can only write what you narrated. Cover the five elements above while you record and the doc fills itself in.
Writing it up costs more than doing it, so the knowledge stays in one person's head until they leave. Ask any product team. Recording the process fixes the cost: you were going to do the work anyway. This recipe adds the rest. The recording isn't the doc, it's the source. A three minute recording became a doc with nine steps and five screenshots in about a minute.
This is one of several things your agent can do across the two tools.
Record the bug happening. Your agent gets the transcript and frames, and the Linear ticket writes itself.
Explain how it should work, once. Your agent writes the stories your developers need to build it.
Point your agent to your PM's feature demo video, and it writes the help center article, screenshots included.
Record your update. Your agent posts the summary, the action items, and links to the moments that matter.
